Welcome to Bel-Air Riding Club!
Welcome to Bel-Air Riding Club! Our base is at Bel-Air Hotel and Equestrian Centre in Ashford, Co. Wicklow, where we have access to all the facilities for training, shows, fun and games. The hotel bar also serves a great breakfast at week-ends, and it can be hard enough to drag the non-horsey family members out of the place.
Some of us keep our own horses, others enjoy horses from Bel-Air. We like doing well at shows, of course, but to be honest we are just as much about the social fun with horses. Check out the other areas of this site to see what we are up to. We hope to see you soon at one of our events, with or without your horse. Welcome!

Over the winter months Pegus Horse Feeds in conjunction with their partners at Thompsons Feed, Liffeys Mills and Dairygold would like to offer the Club an informative evening on Equine Nutrition, Welfare and Health, at their AGM or a private group Workshop. Over the past 6 years, Declan Cullen of Pegus Horse Feeds, was the Equine Feed consultant to Team Ireland supporting all disciplines and levels through two Olympic Games and numerous championships and has also been a part of the Irish three day eventing High Performance Squad from 2007-12 and as a rider winning the Ballindensik International CCI*** has given him a great empathy to understand with the rider, to developing goals and feeding plans that work to support every level of rider and horse. Pegus Horse Feeds firmly believe that education is the key to better welfare and performance of the horse and to remove any" old myths and hear say" about feeding Please let Noni know if you would be interested in this for some time in the new year.
Good News Story
Last year we had a fund-raiser at Bel-Air for Johnny Byrne who had a tumor in his heart. His only option was to go to London for treatment. At Christmas the surgeons removed the tumor. Last week Johnny was given the all clear and is now cancer free. Johnny sends his thanks and appreciation for all the help and support he has received over the last eighteen months.

Protect Your Horse-Box – Register it!
There is a simple way to protect your Ifor Williams horse-box, and make life a bit more difficult for people who steal horse-boxes to sell them on. Ifor Williams keep a register of their boxes; who owns them and whether they are reported stolen. To keep this register up-to-date, you need to do the following: BEFORE YOU BUY A SECOND-HAND BOX – Take the serial number of the box. Phone Ifor Williams to check that it is not reported stolen. AFTER YOU BUY A NEW OR SECOND-HAND BOX – Register it in your own name. Keep the number safe, so you know it even if the box isn't there. IF YOUR BOX IS STOLEN – Report it stolen to Ifor Williams. PHONE NUMBER: Call Ifor Williams on 00441490412626. Ask for Customer Care.
